Orange Grove - Your Stay in Robertson

Orange Grove sits on a working wine and olive farm in the Robertson valley. The six chalets are spaced far apart, so you get privacy. Room options include the Superior Cottage with Private Patio, Superior Two-Bedroom Cottage with Mountain View, Two-Bedroom Cottage with Garden View, Three-Bedroom House, Cottage with Mountain View, and Two-Bedroom Cottage with Mountain View. All chalets face the mountains and vineyards. Each has a private veranda, plunge pool, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, BBQ facilities, and tea/coffee maker. Some units add a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, electric blankets, air conditioning, DSTV, and Netflix. The chalets are serviced daily.

There is no restaurant on site. Instead, guests order farm-made baskets delivered to their chalet. The breakfast basket includes freshly baked farm bread, homemade treats, and fruit. The braai basket comes with meat, wood, and everything needed for the BBQ. Picnic baskets are available for hikes. Room service also covers packed lunches, kids' meals, and special diet menus. Guests can add wine or champagne and arrange grocery deliveries. If you want to eat out, Saggy Stone, Silwerstrand Golf Estate Restaurant, and De Oude Kombuis Restaurant are within a 16-18 minute drive.

The farm has an outdoor swimming pool that stays open all year, plus sun loungers and umbrellas. Each chalet's private plunge pool is good for cooling off on hot days. Spa treatments and massages can be booked in the chalet. Hiking trails cross the farm and lead to rock pools, waterfalls, and mountains. Staff can arrange experienced guides for longer hikes. Bicycle rental, cycling, and walking tours are available. There is also a garden, outdoor fireplace, picnic area, and gift shop.

Orange Grove is on Orange Grove Farm at Noree, near Robertson in the Western Cape. It sits in the Breede River Valley and Cape Winelands on Route 62, close to the Robertson wine route. The drive from Cape Town takes about 2 hours. Wine farms in the area include Springfield, Van Loveren, and Graham Beck. The nearest rail stations are Langvlei and Vink, both about 11-15 minutes by car. Robertson is about 10 km away; the last stretch to the farm is a gravel road. A car is needed to get around.
